The Story
After falling for each other quickly, Rebekah Riley and Stephen Millsaps knew their relationship was meant to last. Their love developed so fast, in fact, that Rebekah approached me about creating this video “Save the Date” before Stephen proposed.
Rebekah and Stephen want to announce their engagement and wedding plans in a romantic, fun and classic video.
The Story Behind the Story
The original plan for this video was much different than the final product. I’d spent a week preparing to shoot this video, and when we all showed up to start production, there was a bit of a wrench thrown in the project–so I had to be light on my feet and still come out with a final cut that was up to my standards (which is almost always higher than my clients’).
The dilemma was they both changed their minds about what they wanted when we all showed up. I’d prepared to shoot and direct a certain video, and they decided last minute that it just wasn’t what they wanted–which is perfectly fine. We all scrambled to put something together, found an amazing chalkboard wall and collectively came up with a video that is much better than our original idea.
These situations are where familiarity with equipment and experience can really save your production. Luckily, I was able to pull together my resources and knowledge (despite some equipment failure) and create something I’m proud to show.
I’d like to present Rebekah and Stephen’s “Save the Date” video.
