Guess what?! It’s my birthday (well…almost), and I am going to selfishly ask you to give a birthday gift!

We’re all familiar with the concept of giving gifts to celebrate the life of a family member or friend on their birthday.

Typically, we give gifts to that person based on their interests or hobbies. For my birthday, I’m not asking you to give a gift for me, though—I’m asking you to support the work of the Chadasha Foundation through a donation to the organization or a sponsorship of their media team.

It would be fantastic if, through my birthday, we could raise $1000 to use for the absolutely incredible ministries of the Chadasha Foundation or the media team’s continued growth! Are you on board already?

Not convinced? Here are some ministries Chadasha operates:

  • Through the “Heartbeat of Haiti” Pediatric Heart Surgery program, 75+ Haitian children have received life-saving heart operations since 2011
  • 166 kids in our Christian schools
  • Bible classes in two different refugee camps
  • An on-going medical clinic
  • Housing for 36 orphans
  • An Orphanage Retreat Center in Haiti
  • Jimani Hospital and Surgery Center (almost complete)
  • …and much more!

In addition, the Chadasha Media Team’s responsibilities are steadily growing over the course of this year, and by year’s end will include:

  • New Website Development and Regular Site and Content Updates
  • Development and Management of the new “Chadasha Community”
  • The Chadasha Blog Publication
  • The Chadasha “Weekly Update” Email Newsletter (and other communications)
  • Social Media account management and content updates
  • Fundraising and Marketing Material Design and Development (photo, video, writing, and design)
  • Brand Development and Management
  • …and much more!

So you can see that Chadasha as an organization is doing some amazing things, and the Media Team needs a lot of support as well!

Please consider making a “birthday gift” to Chadasha this month! Even donations as small as $5 will make a difference.

Chadasha Visual Presentation

Chadasha Visual PresentationA quick update on some of the goings-on at the Chadasha Foundation:

Chadasha’s Feature Presentation
Chris Keylon, Chadasha’s Executive Director, and I were able to find time in our hectic schedules to share lunch and discuss some of the issues we need to tackle regarding the media “division” of Chadasha.

Aside from the awesome new website we have planned, we identified that over the past year, we’d created many versions of a similar presentation for different audiences. Chris had an opportunity to present the mission of Chadasha to a church in Alabama the next weekend, and we didn’t want to fall into the repetitive trap of new presentations for each opportunity.

After discussing some of the main details and information that really define Chadasha and the needs of our presentations, we settled on a new strategy. Read more

One of the amazing benefits of working with so many wonderful clients is simply getting to know you and your incredible stories.

The Community
This happens all the time, and my business—whether I’m doing photography, video production, or digital design—is based on telling stories…so I love hearing my clients’ stories and I want to create a platform to share them. A huge project I’ll be incorporating into the entire Moser Visuals Network in the future is developing a community with so many incredible features for all of you. I’ll share more information about this after the new year, but it is exciting news and I can’t wait to unveil it!

Part of the new community is this idea of sharing incredible client stories. For now, I’ll call each one a Community Featured Story. The first one features the incredible story of the Roberts family. If you want me to tell your story, consider becoming a client of any one of the Moser Visuals Network companies: Moser Visuals, Knoxville Portraits, or Knox Wedding Photo + Video!

*Editor’s Note: The original graphic published with this article referenced the Roberts family as being from Alabama, not Mississippi, as the updated and correct graphic now reflects.

The Roberts family claims they are just an ordinary family of four from Southern Mississippi, but after reading their story, you might claim otherwise. Their family includes Greg and Michelle (the parents), Dustin and Ashton (the two natural-born kids), and Isaac (their adopted Haitian son). I asked Michelle to tell their story, and these are her words: Read more

Knoxville Portraits - The Roberts Family

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend with my family in the Smoky Mountains, and I hope each of you had just as great of a weekend as I did.

In addition to spending a lot of great time with my family, I also had the privilege to spend some time with some of my Chadasha family—the Roberts family. They wanted to get some new family portraits, so I was more than happy to oblige since they lived nearby.

Knoxville Portraits - The Roberts FamilyHere’s a sample image of their Portrait Design Experience from Knoxville Portraits. They are such a great-looking family and they have amazing hearts for serving the world as well!

Chadasha Website Homepage Design

Here’s a sneak preview of the new Chadasha website homepage design.

If you’ve been following me for any amount of time, you’ve probably heard me mention the Chadasha Foundation and all the amazing things they are doing in Haiti and the Dominican Republic.

There is quite a lot going on at Chadasha lately, between preparing to open our Jimani Hospital, to the same with our Orphanage Retreat Center, some illnesses, mission trips, cancelled meetings with Haiti’s President Martelly, and many more moving parts.

The busy schedule hasn’t been limited to the projects and operations on Hispaniola, either. I’ve been working heavily on designing and developing a new website for Chadasha among some other Chadasha projects as well. The current site is a bit vanilla and really doesn’t serve our needs as a growing international non-profit anymore. It can’t support a lot of necessary functionality and it looks pretty simple too.

So, I’ve been spearheading a brand new site, designed and planned from the ground up to serve our needs and add some fantastic new features for the entire Chadasha Community. The new site is going to be Read more

Sunset at Saint-Georges on the South coast of Haiti.

Lately, I’ve been able to get back to a lot of the images I captured on my last trip to Haiti. We had one of the most beautiful locations to work, as we stayed a stones throw from the beach on the South coast of Haiti near a town called Saint-Georges. Not too shabby, if I do say so myself.

I’ll be posting more images soon!
