Chadasha Visual Presentation

Chadasha Visual PresentationA quick update on some of the goings-on at the Chadasha Foundation:

Chadasha’s Feature Presentation
Chris Keylon, Chadasha’s Executive Director, and I were able to find time in our hectic schedules to share lunch and discuss some of the issues we need to tackle regarding the media “division” of Chadasha.

Aside from the awesome new website we have planned, we identified that over the past year, we’d created many versions of a similar presentation for different audiences. Chris had an opportunity to present the mission of Chadasha to a church in Alabama the next weekend, and we didn’t want to fall into the repetitive trap of new presentations for each opportunity.

After discussing some of the main details and information that really define Chadasha and the needs of our presentations, we settled on a new strategy. Read more

Creative Business Cards That Stand Out
Creative Business Cards That Stand Out

This business card spread only contains two unique business cards. The variety of display options and interactivity are tremendous, and there are even more than shown above. They’re quite the conversation-starter…which comes in handy with establishing new relationships.

Everyone wants to be unique, but most people simply aren’t.

Theodore Roosevelt College and Career Academy

From the Post-Tribune: Dr. Tony Bennett, State Superintendent of Public Instruction, acknowledges state senator Earline Rogers during a grand opening ceremony for the Roosevelt College and Career Academy in Gary Wednesday Aug. 15, 2012. | Andy Lavalley~Sun-Times Media

More often than not, I am extremely blessed to get to work on projects that are very rewarding.

This happened again recently with the makeover and relaunch of Roosevelt High School (now Theodore Roosevelt College and Career Academy) in Gary, Ind. This school had been failing in achievement, test scores, and many other vital educational areas for years, so the state of Indiana took over the school and hired a Knoxville-based educational management company to bring the school back to its former glory.

The Jackson 5 performed one of their first talent shows in the Roosevelt auditorium!

While being amazed by the gorgeous resolution and even slimmer profile of the laptop, a thought occurred to me:

The resolution of this computer is greater than an HDTV.

This isn’t news, and it can’t really count as a revelation, but it got me thinking. And it brings up a very, very important point that is news and everyone who creates digital visuals of some sort should pay attention to:

Apple’s Retina display is a sign of times to come, and you better prepare to change your process now.
